Professional: Bob works for Hi-Stat, an automotive supplier of electromechanical assemblies, for twenty-two years.  He has mainly served the company as Industrial Engineering Supervisor most recently, November 2000, being promoted to Operations Excellence Manager. 

As IE Supervisor Bob lead a highly motivated group of Profit Making Industrial Engineers that fostered Hi-Stat’s War On Waste strategy converting all batch lines to continuous flow lines and cells and reducing inventory by 50%. 

Bob’s knowledge of lean has come from working with Hi-Stat people, Toyota Supplier Support Center, GM, Chrysler, and Ford, along with reading the complete works of Taiichi Ohno, Shigeo Shingo, James Womack and others.

In his current position he serves as Lean Manufacturing Change Agent, Six Sigma Black Belt, Administrator of the WOW Cost Reduction / Continual Improvement Campaign, Special Projects Leader and TQM team member.

Professional Institutions Offices Held: Bob Schroer was first time elected to office of President for the 2004-05 year.  Since 1999 he has and still holds the office of Treasurer with his biggest success being the raising of over $1,200 for the OSU Student Chapter Regional Event. For one year Bob edited an IIE Chapter 1 Newsletter that won the Gold Award from IIE.
